Cybernetics

Cyborg technology has been used in Wizards, Warriors, and some Souls. Even some ponies at the Black Sands who’ve been augmented with cybernetics. Cybernetics are not underlying reason Liches exist, but they certainly have dabbled in it.

Cybernetic enhancements have been used to increase physical strength, sharpen mental abilities, extend or totally reanimate life itself, and in some instances it has been used to amplify magical abilities. This is a rare instance of magic and tech mixing in strange ways, usually such a pairing is discordant, or profane.

Cybernetic Wizards in particular are a very strange kind of mage, because mastering technology AND magic is usually mutually exclusive. The Runiverse is not your standard medieval fantasy world, it is set 1000 years in the future-- a world that is in conflict with Magic and Tech.
